Gorgeous Run Around Arthur’s Seat

Once the cobbled streets and often-crowded sidewalks of Old Town are behind you, Edinburgh is an absolute treat to run around. Amazingly, one of the most beautiful spots is among the most accessible.

This morning, finally, I committed to running Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat at sunrise. It was brilliant. Blue skies filled with wispy white clouds, the moon still prominent. A gently rising sun over the water. Lush green fields in every direction. Dedicated pedestrian paths snaking around the foot of a legendary landmark. Plenty to love.
