Vibrant cityscape of Bangkok at dusk with bustling traffic and skyline in view.

Back on the Road

This morning, we ate breakfast by the water with Pinky, seated in beanbags on the deck of our most-visited beach club, enjoying the serenity of Haad Yao for one final time. Tonight, we’ll be in Bangkok. Between then, we traverse the seas, the road, and the sky.

There hasn’t been a travel day for quite some time. That all changed very quickly. I’m typing this from Surat Thani airport. Transport getting here was actually great. Not problems this time around. After some usual airport stresses, we’ve found a quiet place to sit down and plan how we’re going to spend two days in Bangkok.

For better or worse, the moving around travel doesn’t pause with Bangkok. We’re properly back on the road now, for good. A frenetic month in Vietnam awaits. We can’t wait!

Equally though, we can’t wait to return to the island life one day. Maybe soon. We stumbled into something amazing there.

Now, back to the real world and the whirlwind of flights, check-ins, and check-outs. But don’t be fooled—it isn’t all doom and gloom. Far from it! Only different. In a good way. Returning to the hum of cities, the company of friends, and the beauty of seeing and feeling new things.

Perhaps the most difficult part of all will be keeping up with this blog. I’ll try my best.

Happy holidays for everyone back home in Australia! Sending lots of love from across the pond x
