Outsourced Tech Support

For me, I’m completely faking it when it comes to software, coding, and tech support. ChatGPT provides my tech support. I upload it error messages, setting configurations with acronyms I’ve never seen in my life, and impossibly long sequences of code. Mostly—albeit sometimes with a drawn out back-and-forth thread that exhausts my daily prompt limit—it gets the job done, effectively and efficiently. That scares me a little bit, but man, is it also useful. This post doesn’t have too much of a purpose, besides to highlight the opportunity AI offers you to outsource your weaknesses and instead, double down on your strengths, to highlight how far we’ve come in such a staggering short time, and to reiterate that, ultimately, I’m faking it, and yet, that gets me pretty far.
