Joy in Shared Experience

As a write this, I’m standing beside a hospital bed in an oncology ward. You might expect the mood to be subdued. But it isn’t. Why? The Ashes is on!

That only means one thing. We’re all huddled around the bed, vying for a glimpse into the contest through the small TV screen.

For our family it might be cricket, but it really could be anything.

The collective experiences and stories that we uniquely share as humans bring us together, emotionally and, in this case, physically as well, bringing light and joy into even the darkest moments.
