True autumn. Fall, even! A concept almost entirely incongruent with living in Brisbane. Here, in Europe—in October—though? Beautiful stuff. Yes, there is a spectrum of colour wherever you look. But also, you can feel the seasonal mood shift. Random new menu items make sense. The general coziness is palpable.

It’s cold, but not freezing. Sometimes gloomy, but still plenty of sun. Zipping through Polish forests on a train, as the sun lowers through the trees, reveals a gorgeous hue and calm ambience that makes it hard not to just sit and stare out the window.
