Recovery, Not Resignation
This year, I made a commitment to myself. I was going to write something here every day. For the vast majority of my time away, I have adhered to that. Sometimes with flying colours. On many other days, barely jumping over the smallest possible threshold I could set myself to still fulfil this objective. Often, just writing a title and clicking publish.
Recently, I haven’t quite been as diligent. For good reason, perhaps. Joining friends and family as I travel has been a wonderful experience. Nevertheless, I had become very comfortable being solely responsible of how I chose to spent my time over the past six months. It was a change, certainly, but I think ceding that control somewhat to make time and space to be present for other people has been extremely rewarding.
I have the immense luxury of
