A Day Filled With Life

Riding a mule up a mountain. Watching the sun set over snowy peaks. Hiking 1km straight up through dust and rocks. Speaking with Korean Grandmas in China. Eat cheap, delicious food. Putting our full faith in a random bus driver. Meeting incredible people. Suffering. Thriving. Then spraining an ankle. Taking refuge in amazing mountainside accommodation, with an interactive AI called Xiao Du, and the kindest—human—owners. Watching their son climb up onto the bar to steal chocolate, then playing with him in the restaurant, exchanging various drawings by writing on a little tablet with chopsticks. Not an easy day, but certainly one that we’ll remember for how alive we felt.
