Sichuan Peppercorns

Ever eaten a battery? I sure would hope not. But imagine it for a second. Like when you get a static shock and you can feel, for a brief moment, electric charge being conducted through your own body. Somehow, that is what it feels like to eat a Sichuan peppercorn.
