Ordinary is Usually Extraordinary
You’re more amazing than you think.
When we’ve been doing something for a long time, it becomes second nature. It blends into the fabric of our identity and locks itself away in our default idea of what life looks like.
Once we feel comfortable, when the novelty of a new pursuit and our curiosity towards the unknown or the slightly-out-of-reach, things become boring. The shiny object no longer looks shiny.
Internally, the highlights and unique fragments of our lives that were all special once upon a time eventually become commonplace. But from an external perspective, the shine has not worn off.
You have probably had an experience where an idea or story or skill you share with someone blows their mind. Yet, you can’t understand why. What was so amazing about that?
We’re all accustomed to our own beauty, our own creative talent, and our own personality. What is dull to another person is exceptionally bright to another.
We negatively bias against our own genius more than we know, often suppressing brilliance.
You’re an extraordinary person. The existence of you, and everything around you is truly a miracle. It is unfathomably impossible that you are exactly where you are, at exactly this moment.
Sometimes, take a moment to be in awe at yourself. Life feels so much more vivid and magical when you do.
